The things that come to my mind when thinking about my country are shopping malls and food. Singaporeans love going to the malls. We like to "hide" there and enjoy the air con in the heat of the day. Almost situated near each MRT (Mass Rapid Train) station is a shopping mall. Food is easily found, you'll never go hungry in Singapore. We have all kinds of food that satisfy different palates.

 

The next thing is that Singapore is a very peaceful and safe country. You can go jogging late in the night.

 

The majority of Singaporeans live in HDB (Housing Board Development) flat, within a HDB estate are shopping malls, supermarkets, schools and other facilities for the convenience of the residents.

 

Generally, Singaporeans are friendly and helpful and most speak English. I speak Singlish like some of my countrymen. Even the grandmothers and grandfathers speak broken English as they learn to communicate with their grandchildren.
